Hyde United (H) Boxing Day 26th December 2012

A wet and ultimately miserable day at Edgeley Park as a couple of early mistakes cost County a 2-0 defeat at the hands of their local neighbours.


Was soaking after the game and seriously considered becoming a literal 'fairweather photographer'. To brighten my day a little, my brother, over from Germany for the Christmas period, joined me on the sidelines to capture some of the action.

I attended the following home game, a 2-2 draw with AFC Telford up in the Cheadle End. It turned out it would have been the better game to photograph out of the two, but it was good to get back into the stands for a change.

Southport FA Trophy (Home) 15th December 2012

After conceding 48 seconds into the game, County fought their way back into the tie with an equaliser 2 minutes from full time making the score 1-1 and forcing a replay.

A double exposure portrait I created of County legend Jim Gannon. I really wasn't expecting the positive response I got to it. It went on to sell well as a canvas, with Jim signing each one, and raised money for Help the Hatters.

I combined these 2 images in photoshop. Hardcastle Rd was taken on the day of the Ebbsfleet game and the Jim picture was taken at Southport away last season.

Kidderminster (home) 13th October 2012

A 1-0 win against Kidderminster, really making people start to believe that we might be heading in the right direction again. Also maintains a 100% win record for me watching County this season.

My first game of the 2012/13 season

After a long summer away in Thailand, I finally made it to Edgeley Park for my first game of the season on the 29th September 2012. County's start to the season had been a bit hit and miss as the young team Jim had assembled found their feet.

County ran out 3-1 winners against Ebbsfleet United with a couple of crackers from new boy Craig Hobson and a great goal from another new addition Tom Collins. It was great to be back for me and it looked like I had arrived just in time to see Jim's vision for the team finally clicking into place.
